Welcome to the Spart Vs Athena Forum!

Please read the following guidelines before posting. The rules apply both to the discussion boards and the chat box.

1. Language
___➞ This is an English speaking forum, so please type your posts in English. Any thread topics or replies written in a language other than English may be removed without notice. We also ask to avoid excessive usage of CAPS LOCK, PoKeMoN TyPe, 1337 5p34K, too!!!!!!! much!!!!!! enthusiasm!!!!!! or too many colours.
___➞ Swearing is allowed but don't get carried away - we don't want to see trash being thrown around constantly. If anyone points out that you're overdoing it, try to calm down a bit and take a break from the forum for a while. Excessive swearing can get you in trouble, so keep it clean.

2. Flaming, Bashing, and Trolling
___➞ Be nice! Hate posts of any kind and personal attacks will not be tolerated. Treat others on these message boards as you would expect them to treat you. We ask that respect be shown to all members, not just staff. Posting topics specifically designed to provoke a negative response from someone is also asked to be avoided. There are however some posts that will cause debates that may offend you. If you are easily offended by discussions about some topics we suggest you stay out of those threads. Still, while discussions may become heated, it is not an excuse to result to attacks or insults. There is a difference between a passionate, respectful discussion and one that delves into personal matters. Think of it as debating issues, not individuals.

3 . Low content posts and spamming
___➞ Purposely spamming a message board with senseless, vacuous, or empty messages like "lol", "yeah" or "same" to gain a higher post count, or just to annoy others is HIGHLY frowned upon! Some forum threads expect short messages (like some forum games), but otherwise short messages are highly discouraged. Do not post for the sake of forum post count - your posts will be removed if we see you posting unhelpful or non-contributing messages.

4. Safety
___➞ Do not post anything pornographic or exceptionally disgusting. This applies to avatars, images, links, quoted text, or in-thread conversations. Keep everything Safe for Work, and remember that kids visit this website.
___➞ No discussions of software piracy, hacking, illegal material, or linking to sites about such activities will be tolerated.
___➞ Do not post any login or important personal information. The forum is public and anyone can read it... even the evildoers!

5. Law enforcement
___➞ Our moderators have a whole arsenal of different kinky tools to punish all rule-breaking rapscallions! This includes giving warnings, deleting and editing post to add a moderator notes, disabling users from posting in certain subforums and banning for different amounts of time.
___➞ Do not complain about moderators' decisions and do not make new accounts to circumvent a ban. We trust our moderators, and if they've removed a message or banned someone, they had a good reason.
___➞ Do not reprimand other users for doing something against the rules - backseat moderating is never welcome. Instead of commenting that someone breaks the rules, report the post by clicking the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] button in its upper right corner.

6. Other stuff that we didn't have a category for
___➞ Be reasonable when it comes to the signatures. In this case bigger doesn't mean better. Save space! If your signature is too big a moderator might snip it. ✂

___➞ Do not create multiple accounts. One is just enough! If you forget your password, use the password recovery tool, in which case you will be able to reset your password, given that you have access to the e-mail associated with your account. If you are still unable to login, contact the administrator.
___➞ If you wish to role-play on our boards, read the additional guidelines posted in the Role Play Forums.

Remember that these are only guidelines. If something is not specified here, use your common sense. Saying that "the rules don't exactly specify that..." after doing a boo-boo will get you nowhere and you'll get whipped anyway. If we change anything in the rules, you'll be notified about it!
